They most certainly will (in my opinion) but, C-3's are far from dead. People like them better than other body styles, especially where BBC are involved. I personally like my C4 better than C-3's, C-5's and C-6's but, I have no hesitation about moving away from OEM for anything other than most of the body. (per my comments about LS motors).
C-4's are one of the best performance bangs for the buck and some are being sacrificed to the road race track gods because of that. The older they get, the better the bargain since most have been well cared for. Given the production numbers, they should be around longer than we that own them. After that, the inheritor may have to worry more about the crusher laws than the value but who knows if there will still be any interest.

We all have our own personal favorette years, colors, and options and hopefully the future will be true to the Corvette heritage
Just keep 'em away from the "SmartCars"
the C4 is my favorite out of all the c's. Fell in love with them when I was sixteen and it took me twenty six years to get one. and now I am spending every extra dime on it. it is the best bang for the buck as noted before. great power, great handling and gas milage if treated right. and I look for the value to go up in yhe next few years. they may not have the swooping lines of the others but it just looks fast even sitting still.
I have a C3 and two C 4s. Quite different cars. C3s just have the most beautiful lines, but the C4s are technically far better performance cars. As one road racing friend said to me "Be seen in a C3, but race a C4!"
There is no problem a little horsepower can't fix!

I remember very well when the C4 series hit the auto magazines. Being a junior engineer at the time I could appreciate the "clean slate" approach and ooggled over the race like suspension. Twenty seven years on and I finally grabbed one for myself last summer. Great price and a very good start for a new Corvette owner. I do all of my own auto work and through that have found an appreciation for the bold step GM took when re-inventing the line. They risked a lot by potentially alienating the traditional Vette owner but in the end it did pave the path to the technological marvel of the C6 and soon to be C7. Iconic status.....I'm too old to see that happen and I'm not betting my retirement on future on mega collector values but a C4 should be appreciated more than it is. I'm as proud as can be to own one. That's all that matters. This is going to be a great summer.

I have a 74 and a 95. Both coupes and both red of course. I also love the look of the 74 with it's 20 foot paint job. There are no numbers matching on this old girl. It has been rode hard and put away wet but enjoy the restoration that I have been doing on her. It rides like a lumber wagon and don't care to take it on any long trips but is still fun to drive with the 4 spd. and 330 hp. The 95 is a much better touring car with a much better ride. I have learned to appreciate the design and I think it looks better every time I see it. I have never cared for the high sills and tough ingress and egress. I am 61 and 6 ft. 2in. with size 11 gunboats. I have heard all the stories about that particular design feature but I have gotten used to it. I t might be a little harder some day to get in and out but for now I am in good shape and it is not a problem.

Yes. The C-4 will live on due to innovations such as the digital dash and re-introduction of the convertible.
I will also predict that the C-5 will become the "dog" model when the C-7 comes out next year, and that will make the C-4 even more desirable (and the value will go up too).
The older a car gets the less anyone worries about it's performance and the more they go for the looks of the vehicle. Look around at car shows and see how many original 4 and 6 cylinder engine cars you see, they are everywhere. As the years pass and the C-4's age, the more valuable they will become to collectors and car enthusiast. 25 and older seems to be the breaking point in my area, and my 90 model is knocking on the door, but I really think when the last of the 96"s turn 25 that's when we will see the C-4 come into it's own.
