Hi there, C4 Registry folks:
I joined about three months ago but have never introduced myself. I'm Geof (British version of Jeff) Schwer and hail from Waco, Tx. At 68, I'm probably older than most of you but don't find that age discriminates between Vette people. I'm a member of the Cen-Tex Corvette Club, the NCCC, and a Founding Member of the National Corvette Museum. Years ago, I was also a member of the "VetteNet" here on the Internet. I'm not even sure it still exists; I began to receive so many daily posts day that I couldn't keep up with them all and had to quit after 3 years. Back then, Hib Halverson was a primary contributor to that net. Anyone know if Hib is still around? Regardless, a few of you may remember me from there too.
I wanted to join this group because I'm getting sick-and-tired of hearing how cool the C5s and C6s are, and how "out-dated" our beloved C4s are. In my opinion, the C4s are still among some of the very best looking automobiles ever produced. Design-wise, the C5s and C6s seem to be getting harder-and-harder to tell apart from every other wanna be race car produced in the Far East. Admittedly, the C4s don't have the power or the tracking performance of the newer Vettes, but I sure as hell have never mastered all of my 91's performance either. However, with the addition of a new, D-1 ProCharged 383, I'm gonna keep trying!
Glad to be here and thanks for listening!
Geof

Welcome Geof---It's great to have you here..
I believe Hib Halverson is/was a member of the "Corvette Action Center" another online forum. It looks like you have a "stable" full of Vettes. When you get a chance post somes pics---I'm sure everyone here would love to see them !!

Once again welcome to the C4VR

Vaughn
Hi Geof, welcome to C4VR, nice to have you aboard. Nothing but C4 love here.
I agree that the C4 is still one of the best looking designs out there. I am constanly amazed (and flattered) by comments from non-vette people who think the car is new or say nice car. If they are "out-dated", well I'm proud to be out-dated too.

what joel said geof. i agree that the newer vettes are losing the touch that the older vettes have. everyone use to try and copy the vette and now it seems vettes are trying to copy others. c4 and older vettes rule.
