While not a C4, i did own a 1979 Corvette that was originally owned by my father who bought it new in 1979.  In 2001 I convinced him to sell it to me.  I was in love with it for many years. Things needed fixing and I didn't mind fixing them.  However, over the next 9 years I wound up spending way too much money on it and it still wasn't as perfect. It still needed new paint, new carpet and even though the engine was repalced, still never ran well. I wound up selling in 2010 to someone who be able to give it the futher love, attention and money it needed.
