Thanks Adam! I was referred to your website hoping one of your members could help me find a 1984 Corvette. This car is two-tone. Bronze on top and brown on the bottom. It has brown clothe interior which I have not seen any others (most have leather). It had a glass removable top instead of a painted top. The car was bone stock. This car was given to my wife as her first car back in 1984. It was registered in Oklahoma and carried Oklahoma tags as she moved to Fayetteville, AR to attend college. New Year's Eve of 1989 (maybe 1990) she was hit by a drunk driver in Fayetteville, AR. The Corvette was heavily damaged on the passenger front end. It was sold to the guy that ran the shop for Nelms Chevrolet in Fayetteville, AR (now called Fayetteville Auto Park) which was were the car was always serviced. Skip forward to October 2007...my father-in-law died, and in November 2008 I began looking for the car. I pulled an AutoCheck on the car and found the last time it was registered was in August 2001 in McKinney, TX (TX PLATE# NNW26Z). I talked a lady at the DMV in Texas into giving me the name and address of the person who registered it in 2001. That man (GERRY CRIGER of 1231 WESTMORELAND DR, MCKINNEY, TX 75069) had since died, but I spoke with his daughter (Susan). She said they had sold the car, but could not remember to who. Since then I randomly check CarFax to see if it has been registered, and I search all the internet sales sites every other month or so. I am contacting you for help...maybe you have some resources that I do not. Any help you could be would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time in reading through my information.
That's cool that you are trying to locate the car after all of these years. I had a similar "lost & found" story with my '84 where I tracked down the original owner after 16 years. I bought my '84 in November 2000 and discovered that I am the 4th owner. I found the original owner's name and address on the warranty booklet as I was cleaning out the center console. It was a husband & wife from Houston TX. I found that the husband had died and the wife remarried. I discovered her married name and found her. She was absolutely thrilled that I contacted her and completely surprised. She was also thrilled and amazed that "her" Vette was still alive. She told me how she special ordered the Vette in '83 with some unique options. Health issues forced her to sell in 1988 and buy an automatic. But she always missed and loved mine cause it was her dream car. The second owner bought it in 1988 and financed it thru Navy Federal Credit Union. He or she was transferred from Texas to Washington and then to California. They sold it in 1994 to the third owner, who I purchased it from. I live in PA and found the 'Vette in CA and bought her. The third owner took a job in New Hampshire and had the 'Vette shipped in an enclosed carrier. I took the train from Philly to Boston and drover her home.
I guess the point of my story is that there is hope for you. Maybe someone who owns the car now might be looking for you! I can try to make a list of sites I used to help you. But an initial thought is to post an ad looking for the 'Vette on Craigslist near the last known location. Can you also email the last Carfax to me? When I pulled my Carfax I was able to see where mine was serviced and contacted them for receipts which gave me another piece of the puzzle.

Last time it was registered was 2001 in McKinney, TX...no records since then. I posted an add on Craigslist this morning for the San Antonio area. The lady told me she thought for some reason the guys were from SA that bought it from her.
Thanks for your response!
