Vette(s): 1996 Collector Edition LT1 w/Z51 1996 Base Coupe LT1 2008 convertible

This is my third Vette. I came from Fox Body Mustangs. Bought a 1996 base coupe LT1 back in January 2019. Had it for 4 years, put 20,000 miles on it and sold it for $3000 more than I paid for it. During that time February 2020 I bought a 2008 convertible. Still have it, although I sold the C4.

I found this Collector Edition last month. A college person needed money for school. Not in the best of shape, but the interior has no rips or stains or such and the drivetrain is solid. The windows and such needs a lot of work so I am redoing everything in the doors along with inner/outer beltline moldings, weatherstrip, and window guides. About to get my instrument cluster back from Bryan Thompson (BATEE) and hopefully will be going back in this week. Still need to do all fluids, plugs, wires, water pump, and also have some Michelin PS4S on the way. Doing this up for a daily driver to take to cruise-ins and such now and then.

That sounds great! I hope you like working on Vettes. Certainly easy enough to get into the engine bay on C4s, unlike my C3 was! Ugh!

Good luck with it. I encourage you to post some pics along the way. And share some stories of the work you do so that others can learn from your efforts.

Thanks for sharing!
