- Quality - THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!! The image file must be of a substantial quality in regards to DPI (eg. 300) and Resolution (eg. 1760x1168). The higher these numbers are, the better it will look when printed, especially on a calendar. You'll probably need a 2.1 megapixel camera or better, set at the highest quality setting possible.
A good clue to picture size is the size of the photo file. If the file is greater than 2mb (2,000kb), then it is likely big enough. Any smaller, is likely unusable!
*** THIS IS THE NUMBER ONE REASON PHOTOS ARE NOT SELECTED!! *** If your photo is not the proper size, it will be rejected no matter how pretty it is! - Artfulness - The image should be tasteful and free of anything that would detract from the Vette. Examples of good backgrounds are: open fields, a park, a tree-lined 2-lane road, your driveway, etc.
- No people and no other non-Corvette cars - This is about C4s, not anything or anyone else. However, if you happen to own a C4 and other generation Corvettes, you may include the other Corvettes in the pictures.
- Framing - Framed so that the entire Vette is in the picture. It can be taken from any angle.
- Scenery - The prettier the background, the better. Plus, keep in mind that we'd like to have season appropriate photos. For example, a background of trees turning color in the fall; trees and flowers blooming in the spring; snow covered roadway in the winter, american themed for May or July, holiday themed for October, November and December, etc.
- DO NOT CROP YOUR PICTURES! Send the original full-size pictures only! If cropping is needed, we will take care of that for you. We need the full-size original picture to make sure we get the best quality resolution so it can be printed in the calendar.
- Add the email address shown below to your email provider's contact list/address book. This is important as this should prevent the auto-reply being marked as spam, and ensuring delivery to your inbox.
See how to add contact in Yahoo! Mail, AOL email, Comcast email, gmail. - Start composing an email, addresses to the email address listed below.
- Attach One (1) to Three (3) photos. Make sure they follow the guidelines above! Especially resolution/size/dpi!
- In the body of your email, specify the following information:
- Your C4VR Member Name and/or ID Number
- Model Year
- Exterior Color Name
- Engine Type (eg. L48) and/or Size (eg. 350/174hp)
- Any special type (eg. Collector's Edition, Silver Anniversary, etc)
- Year Purchased
- Where photo was taken, if you think it is worthy of mention
- How you want your name to appear. (eg. "Bob Smith" or your online name "Bobs72")
- How you want your location to appear. (City, State/Prov; State/Prov only; or not at all)
- Send the email to the email address listed below.

Thanks and good luck!

Yup!
Because when you take a photo file and print it on an 8-1/2" x 11" paper it becomes pixelated (blocky) if the file isn't large enough to support being printed that large.

It's also the reason why I haven't posted a photo of any of mine.
I have so little photos, and they are all small that would turn grainy
The only pics I have that are large enough taken professionally at the NCM Motorsport park. You say no people ? Some of the photos clearly show the driver in car? Would this disqualify the photos? Thank you.

To keep in just about the Vettes, no people or other non-Corvettes can be in the pictures.
Thank you.
