Since we're new, we'll need some moderators.
Two or three ought to do for now.
If you are interested, please let me know.
Thanks.

What are the duties and responsibilities for being a moderator? I am interested and I am retired, but still keep busy. Does one have to be on line constantly to be a moderator?

Here is what is required of moderators on C4VR:
1) Make sure posts do not have offensive content. This could be pictures, words, threats or just being mean.
2) Make sure posts are in the right place. For instance, if someone posts a For Sale ad in the General Discussion board, the author should be notified that there is a better place for their ad.
3) Be active. Participate in topics that you are able to give valuable input into.
4) Be helpful. If there is a post about a problem with the site, see what kind of help you can offer them.
5) Promote us. Anywhere and everywhere you can, promote C4VR. Be it on other sites, or your friends, or your local Vette clubs. Let them know about the what we have to offer and about the various events that we have going on at any given time.
6) Check in often. As the site gets busier, it will become necessary for moderators to check their forums often. Currently, I think a couple times per week should be sufficient.
