My wife and I were watching VH1's One Hit Wonders.
They showed a video from Autograph - Turn it up the radio...
Well, my living room is 14' tall with a surround system and 4' tower Advent front speakers.
My wife and I turned it up less than half it's capacity.
My 10 year old daughter started telling us to turn it down.
I told her "If it's too loud then you're too old"

. remember when that was the only way to listen to music. i have always had a powerful stereo ( i called it the corvette of stereoes). i have polks speakers with it. my nephew used to work for adcom and this was a system designed by one of their techs that never went on the market. the kid across the street used to blast his boom box with some awful stuff he called music and wouldn't turn it down. i came home from work one day and wife told me she had cured the problem. she said she got so annoyed that she went and put a frank sinatra record on and turned the volume up not even half the way and drowned his boombox out. he took the hint and turned his down and my wife did the same. if he started to forget my wife would jolt his memory with some more frank and he would remember quick
