I have a stock crossfire intake manifold I will be porting, where are the water jackets running? Are they on the lower part of the runners? My plan is to open up the port to match the gasket and to remove as much material on the inside of the runners. I will also shorten the runners from the inside and cut the top of the runners open about 1/2 inch from the start of the runner from the inside. I will remove the EGR hump as well. After removing the EGR hump, is there any welding needed? I will also remove the swirl viens to aid in air flow. Any other suggestions to achieve maximum power out of this stock intake manifold?

Dominic Sorresso is the best I know of for cross-fire systems.

This is the last contact info I have for him.

The only water running thru the intake manifold is across the front, so there really shouldn't be an issue with busting thru to water.
