My wife bought this for me while I was on deployment to the Persian Gulf. It was a complete surprise the day I got back.

Only 25 were made. 13 Torch red and 12 black. This particular car was used in the inaugural Brickyard 400 as a support car. It carried NASCAR drivers Harry Gant and Lake Speed (hence the names on the hood) around the IMS. It was then used to carry Mayor Goldsmith and his wife around the track for a VIP lap.

Who cares where you got the great C4...where did you get the WIFE???
LOL....Found her in Wisconsin.....took me 4 years to get her "into" corvettes....now I think she is just as obsessed as I am.....

I know where you are coming from. I took my wife on a tour of the Bowling Green assembly plant and the Corvette museum a couple of years ago and she got as hooked on Corvettes as I have always been. We are both retired but last year she went back to work teaching kindergarten and bought me my first Vette, a 1995 standard coupe. We both love driving and riding in it. Can't wait until spring to get it out on a regular basis. Now we can only take it out on the nicer warm days we have here in South Dakota.
