.jpgIn 1953 an 11 year old kid saw the introduction of the first Corvette ever, and just knew that he would have to own one "someday'. Well, marriage, kids, home mortgages, college education for kids (sure you get the idea), 58 years later the Corvette showed up in my garage. As time went by, I always wanted a C4 Coupe and if it could be the later years, and possibly Purple, that would be even better. Found a 1995 Dark Purple Metallic Coupe at Stoudts Corvettes in Reading PA (might just be the very best place to buy a used Corvette in the USA) and just can't get enough of this truly great car. After driving it for nearly two years, it still has just over 25,000 miles showing and has been to Graceland and the National Corvette Museum (60th Anniversary Celebration of the Corvette - awesome).

This image was taken by a professional photographer and is the result of approximately two hours and 100 shutter exposures, and then about two hours of layering to produce this picture.
Here in South-Central Penna, we are now entering the rainy season and the cold, wintery stuff will soon follow, so the Corvette will not be driven much except for sunny days, but we are already looking forward to Spring and Summer and countless road-trips.

Dave, I can relate to your corvette story....I'd put a picture of a 'vette on the fridge, and the better half would take the picture down and hang a picture of a sewing machine while we were bring up our children...lol....I finally got my Corvette 3 years ago, 48 years after I saw my first split window and it was every bit worth the wait.
Living in the desert southwest has its advantages; especially being able to enjoy more good weather days to enjoy a cruise
