Vette(s): 1987 rare two tone silver beige medium brown with the optional 3.07 rear end mated to 4 speed automatic. The build sheet states that this is a production test car, sent to milford proving grounds for testing. 78,000 miles with original paint.
I bought this car 2 years ago from of all places harley-davidson dealership. Priced well below what the value of the car is. I know c4's are not that hard to come by very cheap but this one has had extensive work done. the L 98 has been worked over and is now producing 410 horse at the wheels. Full stainless steel exhaust system Magnaflow from the headers down.
Only 447 c4 in 87 were made in this two tone color 59u/69l silver beige/med. Brown. Also the car was ordered with 700r4 auto and the optional 3.07 rearend (standard on manual).
I also found out from the build sheet that this is a production test car. Stated on build sheet that the car was diverted in transit to milford proving grounds for testing.
Hope you enjoy my car as much as I do.
Harold

What is the Zone/Dealer number on your build sheet? I'd be curious to know the exact wording, and whether it is handwritten or typed text. While "build sheet anomalies" are unusual, they are often misinterpreted, or deciphered incorrectly. If you're willing to share, I'd like to know more about the "diverted in transit". Knowing the zone/dealer number will help me with the deciphering of this statement.
The early c4's with two-tone paint in any colors are so "very 80's", and not very common on the road today, or at shows. My favorite is the white/silver, which is the least prolific of the two-tones. Neat car. Thanks for sharing.

Very cool. Who made the license plate frame for you?

I made the license plate where I work. I can do custom ones if you like and are interested. They are made out of stainless steel. I painted mine to match the trim.
