This is my new (4 weeks now) baby. It's a 96 LT 4 Green w/ Tan interior. One of 368 built with these options according to Corvette Registry. I bought her from the original owner but didn't get the kind of history I'd hoped for. The car has 99,000 miles and was stored for a year before his son placed it on the market. It had a couple of leaks that required service but it runs strong, looks great and makes me smile each time I turn the key. This is my 3rd Corvette. I bought a 66 Big Block Couple upon my return from my 1st WesPac cruise. My wife and I bought a 66 Small Block Roadster after we were married in 1975. Should have never sold either of them. Bought a higher mileage car so I won't feel guilty driving it...I wanted a car to hit the road on...this is it!
Very nice looking car....... certainly one of the better color option of the year. Good luck with it.

The LT4 C4 has always been sought out. I casually searched around Trader Online when the cars were about 10 years old for one to purchase. I was not interested in a Grand Sport (price). I don't like silver. I don't like red on a Corvette (too "Me Too"). Not big on green, or more specifically the tan interior it usually has. Black? Meh. That leaves white, purple, and aqua. Using mean distribution, that's <750 LT4's in colors that would not be a 'compromise' for me. I found lots of green and silver LT4's. I never found any of the 'short list' colors with an LT4.
Point is: While the LT4 is highly prized, I don't think it occurs to many that you're most likely to find an LT4 under the hood of a silver, green, red, or black Corvette. Or blue and white with red stripes.
Not dissin' your green one, BTW. Just telling a story with OTB thinking.

I would have to think that Chevy makes them in the colors that they think will sell the most, probably based on historical sales figures.
A lot of people like red, black and silver Corvettes. For me, what color others like doesn't matter, so that eliminated the "me too" perspective from my purchase. I just like silver. To me, it's the only true color for a Vette. I don't expect all to agree with me on that. but I'm sure some would.
Good luck finding an LT4 in the color you like. A white one would be nice. I've never been fond of the aqua.
The green one from the original post looks very nice. I think at this point in time, 16 years down the road from when the LT4 came out, that the condition of the Vette is almost more important in how it looks than the color. Just my $0.02.

If we all liked the same thing, same color or same type of mate...what a boring world it would be!
For me, my Green w/ Tan LT 4 = the most smiles per dollar invested. And really, isn't that why we bought the cars we did?in Forum: Show off your C4!
