One thing to watch for when changing rocker ratios is spring bind...it can happen. Since 96LT1 has already changed the springs, his will prolly be good to go, but stock springs
can coil-bind if the rocker ratio is increased very much over stock. When you change/raise the ratio, it moves the valves farther down into the cylinder, and if the springs can't handle the extra lift, they will bind up, basically making a solid chunk of metal...this can bend/break pushrods, rockers, and rocker studs, as well as hammer the crap out of the cam and lifters.
Going up to a 1.6 ratio shouldn't be an issue on most small blocks, tho. Ya just gotta watch the rpms...
