Thought I would add my two cents to this discussion I have owned my 1993 LT1 since the day it was born special ordered it with the white leather sport seat along with the white exterior, this was actually only a one year option on the coupe for that interior. It's six speed and chrome five spokes any way since I have owed it so long have had plenty to toy with it , polishing this and that, recently I considered selling it due to the like new condition I was offered a very good price considering the C-4 market. They it occurred to me what could I possibly replace it with that is as much fun to drive, turns heads due to the fantastic condition and is getting more exclusive every year since so few of our C-4's are being preserved. Bottom line I love this car and don't see anything out there which could bring me more joy. If it isn't broke don't fix it have fun and appreciate being different. PS perhaps if I was more computer literate I might be able to figure out how to post a picture. Is there a tutorial somewhere on the site?

Along w/Old Vet, I also have to add my 2 cents. I have a '95 LT1 and have only owned it for about 3 years now. When I purchased this C4 it was from the second owner; both he and the original owner took terrific care of the car. It's whats called a "triple-black". I paid $12k for the car and since owning it, I told the local dealership that specializes in Corvettes to, "Fix everything, I want to feel comfortable driving it to California if I choose!"
Well, as it turns out, nothing was really wrong with the car, but the electronic dash was fading, a bulb was burned out on the radio - that kind of stuff, but it can add up quickly on a 20-year-old car. I had no problem handing out another $10k to have everything fixed.
Am I crazy - maybe, but I absolutely love the car. Is it worth $20k on the open market? No, but so what. I don't particularly care for the newer Vettes, the look angry to me! More like fighter planes than sports cars. I prefer more sensuous lines, ones that mimic a woman lying on her side :)
I intend to keep this car for as long as I can keep it running!!!

Posting pics tutorial

The main thing is to upload your pics to your "Personal File Folder". Once there, if you have trouble posting them, we can help with that.

Oh l really like this post. I had the opportunity to rescue a 91 Vette that needed lots of small repairs that stopped it from running properly. It took lots of cleaning and electrical work to bring it back to where it could be driven. I bought the car planning to rebuild the engine because it ran so poorly. After doing a complete inspection of the engine, to my surprise that all the cylinders balanced out the same. Replaced other items, water pump, fuel pump, radiator etc. typical hi milage replacements. I got the "Worthless C4" for a song and a dance, as the old folks would say. The previous owner got tired of fooling around with it. My Vette is not a new Vette, it doesn't have the best paint job, the milage is a bit on the high side and still needs a little more work, but boy do I love this Vette. While driving, I get nods from other drivers and waves from other Vette owners, we all do its part of the sport car family courtesy after all. So who wouldn't want to rescue a 1991 all black inside and out 6 speed unmolested for the most part Corvette. A true America sports car. (remember the 64 Ford Mustang and VW Beetle, they came back strong).

Well said 91ah -- eventually C4's will get the respect they so richly deserve.
I'm glad I've got one and by the looks and comments I get in my travels, everyone I've met loves them too.
Kudos for bringing your '91 back to life -- hoping you get many more miles out of her. Keep us apprised and post some pictures -- I'm sure everyone would love to see it.

I'm with you C4 guys. This model is way underrated. I have a '88 Targa I bought about a year and a half ago. Never owned a 'Vette before, but always loved the body style of the C4. Looked around for about 6 months at about 20 different C4's. MAN! There is a lot of junk out there! Finally found this one. Had 97,000 on it. Was bought and owned by original owner for 25 years. Second owner had it a couple of years when I bought it. Get great compliments on it from everyone that sees it. I think a lot of guys pass on these because of the cut in horsepower, mine is rated at 245, but I'll tell you this baby still sets you back in your seat! Really love the handling. Can take curves 20 to 30 MPH over posted limit and it sticks to the road like glue! I don't care what the monetary value is on this smooth piece of beauty is, I'll never get rid of "Macho" for any price. Guess it take a real 'Vette purist to really appreciate the C4. Hang in there guys, and gals, our day is coming!
Here in the UK, the C4 is hot property as the C5+ are still way too expensive and complex. An L98 C4 is recognised as a really fast, reliable, high torque sports car that doesn't rust in our wet climate that will only appreciate and in fact good ones are starting to climb in value to the $15k mark.
Ask any UK classic car dealer and you'll find that 80's and 90's cars are where its at right now and fetching good money for minters as they can easily be maintained, yet still reliable for the commute so they provide enjoyment and memories that megabuck garage queens don't..
At 73 I purchased a 1988 C4 Red convertible with 68000 I paid way too much at 10200. Since my purchase in October 2016 I put another 2000 into it, tires, steering rack, starter, neutral switch, radio system. In my younger days I owned several 60's cars that I wish I kept, but I wanted a Corvette and I now have one. When my wife and I take it out and put the top down and the Cd is playing 60's songs it puts a smile on our faces and when I accelerate through a curve it puts more of a smile. As far as value I did not buy it for that I wanted it because I always wanted a Corvette and could not afford one. I think that 12200 is a very economical way to enter the classic corvette market. Take care!!!!
