if i remember correctly, as i just had my 90 apart, i believe they are riveted on the impact bar. if they are bolted on the bolts would be on the back where the bulbs go in or in that vicinity. not an easy task. will check later and see if i can see for sure.

The "lenses" are actually the housing. I believe they are spring-loaded from the rear of the bumper cover, so you'll have to go in from the rear. I have one of mine that the spring on one side is broken, and it kinda flops around a bit. I've never taken the time to get in there and fix it, so I can't say how hard/easy it might be.

joel, do you think that whoever might have worked on the car was loadedRolling On The Floor LaughingRolling On The Floor Laughing. don't remember seeing any springs on the old one that came off my car or the new one that went on. now that i think about it, if my memory (what's left of it) serves me right, they are held on by a fancy t-bolt. have something like a key slot that the bolt slides in. will check during the week to make sure.

Well, Dave....with this car, anything is possible!! I will say that I have not actually looked to see what holds the housing in, but it IS springy, on both sides. I can push back on either of the housings(driver or pass side), and they will push back into the bumper cover, and then come back out...
Maybe YOUR '90 is messed up! LOL

I checked my Corvette Body Repair Guide and it looks like the fog light housings are attached in the impact foam or waffle behind the bumper cover  so you would have to remove the entire cover assembly to get to the mounts. Doesn't look like an easy fix. Dave

My housings  (93 vert) have dirt and debris on the inside, so I looked in the FSM to see how to remove them.  Step 1- REmove bumper cover.  OK, I can live with the dirt!!

As an aside. I did put HID lights in there, and they give me great visibility (see and be seen) until nightfall.
Still wish I could clean them out from the inside, though.

If anyone comes up with an alternative removal strategy, please post!!

I replaced both on my 84. You may can do it without removing bumper cover, but it is much easier after removal. Once removed, on the drivers side you have to remove vapor caniser to get to two bolts. There are two bolts behind bumper cover Once removed you will see a metal bracket  that has a springy tension. It is not hard to do,but it is agravating with all the small bolts that you have to remove. I found both my lenses were broken and had to be replaced. New ones are 300 bucks apiece. I searched around and finally found two good used ones at 100 and 125 respectively. Before i installed them I used a kit from 3m to clean and polish them. It is time consuming but it turned out great. (By the way, there is a thread in one of these forums that shows step by step how to do it, but I cant remember where it is . Good luck)
