My 1998 Infiniti Q45T needed 1800 in steering fixes, I decided to look for new car. Upon my search, 1995 C4 6SPD Conv, with 88k came up. After torturing myself for 4 hrs, I decided to go see it. Hoses, lines, and belts all replaced, no leaks, no smoke, no scary sounds from engine or trans, cold AC. I hadn't driven a manual trans in 6 yrs, but boy was it great.
Practical, no way; no trunk, no spare, but it was a Vette, and only $8800. I am the 7th owner, and bought from PJ Auto in Clearwater. They had a 97 C5 Coupe, but the conv won me over. The Opti failed w/ water pump same time at 92k, so those are out of the way. Simple mods (TB By-Pass, airbox cut out, Magnaflow cat back, Z06 Wheels) done, getting ready for headers and 1.6 RR (with PCM tune), with new shocks and poly bushings next. In 4 yrs(retirement), Hot Cam, port/polish TB and Heads.
Speed Racer days over, might take it to the strip after all work done. Besides a Vette makes anyone look good.
